Is it just me or do you all get excited to see AUA mentioned in an article?

I get much more excited about seeing AUA in an article than the TSA trying some new gimmick. If they really want to try something new, how about a scanner that will let me bring my Kindle on a 15 hour international flight?

that ban is from any Middle Eastern countries or Africa coming into the USA (even if its just a switching or layover from those countries). You're fine going to Aruba or back from Aruba

as long as I can bring me...I would suffer without my kindle !!!!

As for the newest and greatest in technologies to get us through the lines faster.....I see it working in the good ole US of A, but it seems that nothing improves in Aruba...just there twice in the last 2 months and even with new screening people find a why to make everything harder than it really is....I watched a girl in front of me try 3 different ways to put her ticket onto the top of the aruban customs kiosk before an attendant had to show her that she needed to put the barcode on the scanner......my frustration level would just get worse than it is now, and since I have no patience i would have to be medicated for all future trips !!! (lol)

No, the restriction is on planes flying direct to the US from a handful of Middle East countries.
