Wow! I go away for 4 days come back and read this thread first and started having a slowburn since I will be there in April myself for only 4 days. I don't need any BS when I only have 4 days but we don't know for sure what goes on. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope if it is anything it will be resolved quickly with minimal impact on tourists!

Just flew down to Aruba last night. I was on the 11:25 flight and had absolutely no problems at the airport. If anything it was the fastest I have ever gotten through!! Might of had something to do with our flight only being half full, but no problems at all!

There was an article in Bon Dia about some kind of agreement. I don't speak enough Papiamento to get it. I put it up on my blog under the ARUBA NEWS DIRECT page on the right.
I think it says the airport operator (AAA) avoided an action that would have paralyzed the airport by paying a group of workers what they wanted first and then they're going to talk more. BUT, I MAY HAVE THAT WRONG. Perhaps someone with Papiamento skills could check it out. Danki. 44 Last edited by SanNic44; 02-07-2009 at 05:51 PM. |
