I booked 2 tickets on Delta last month for $725 per TUL to AUA. Went in this am to see about another ticket for someone that might go with us and the price is $965.

That happens often - for the last few trips we have booked seats for us early. And then been bringing along a friend/family member last minute to help us babysit. The prices have been significantly different when we booked the final ticket. Frustrating.

Boston-AUA non stop on Jetblue is $997/person in June first week..insane!! I booked a full package with 7 days at Amsterdam Manor for two for $2175 last month for same week.

Boston to Aruba prices are crazy right now but IMHO they will go down. The last 4 years we have gone on Thanksgiving week and paid in the $600 per person range. I just check every day, multiple times a day. For our upcoming May trip we are paying $478 per person round trip.

Supply and demand...if the high priced seats are still around closer to departure the fares will go down.

All depends upon how flexible you are and whether you want to risk waiting and the price may go even higher.

Boston is a different story as well. JeetBlue is still losing money on their Boston operations and is desperately trying to raise fares there. I believe they have set a target of this year or next for profitability on Boston ops.

I was very pleased with the package deal we got from JB to fly non-stop out of Boston. Just 2 months and 2 days now.

Good luck to them.....they certainly won't get me to pay a premium of more than $100 just to fly the only Boston non-stop.

It will be interesting after American and USAirways merge.

I will say this the prices are crazy right now. From Baltimore the price just keep going up and up. Really sucks because we booked for May back when they were running the Valentines Day special and I think by the time I book our air we will end up the same as if we booked together on Cheap Caribbian. I will continue to play the waiting game.

Our favorite place on the island, is the great beach at the Boca Grandi. The water is the best, and its very quiet.

Its very difficult to get a good price on a flight to anywhere right now if you can't be flexible with dates and times. Considering how bad the economy is, the airline prices have increased, but compared to other products we have to purchase, such as gasoline, food, utilities, cable television, etc. I feel the increases are not as drastic in the airline industry. We've been fortunate to be able to be flexible for our Aruba flights.
Good Luck in purchasing Aruba tickets.
