Pricing with JetBlue for flights in the middle of January

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and I have really enjoyed reading all of the helpful posts. I'm hoping someone may be able to help us with our plans for next January. We have been looking at airfares and are torn between waiting for tickets from JetBlue which haven't been announced yet or going with a sure thing by flying with American. If we fly with American, buying our tickets today, we can pay roughly $450. But if we wait a couple more months and book with Jetblue, with a non-stop, it could be significantly more - we just don't know HOW much more. Can anyone tell us what we could expect to pay when flying with JetBlue, non-stop, in the middle of January?? Thank you so much!

We always fly Jet Blue nonstop from Boston. Our tickets for Thanksgiving week are generally around $585 pp. Since November is low season I would expect January's fares to be a little higher. Right now, fares for nonstop in March are running around $725.

We fly Boston to Aruba in late January every year on JB. If you are patient and follow prices you should be able to find RT tickets for $550-$600 for weekend travel and about $100-$150 less for mid-week travel.

Welcome to the Forum. If you're closer to Providence or Manchester, try Kayak for other options. We like the Jet Blue non-stop, but are just as happy doing a cheaper one stop out of nearby Providence.....which would be available now (except for Southwest Airlines).

Wow! Thanks so much for the warm welcome. I knew you'd all be so helpful and you didn't disappoint After posting I realized that I hadn't mentioned that we live in the Boston area, which would be important information when asking for advice, but you were all so clever and must have figured that out. AndyM, your info was exactly what we were looking for - thanks so much! Now, we are weighing how much the ease of a non-stop with JB would be worth. For us it seems that would be an additional $900. Hmmm.

yup, unfortunately the price of comfort/speed is steep.
SWA won't be opening those January flights for another couple/few months so there is no way at this point to compare apples to apples.

However check UsAir and American and Delta and do your math.

It is all about what you are comfortable with
