We are flying out of Houston IAH airport. We have a connecting flight in New York. Will we have to go through customs in Houston or in New York or neither? Thanks for the info.

going INTO aruba, you will go thru Aruba Immigration, collect your luggage and then through Aruba customs right before you leave the airport.

departing Aruba, you will go thru Aruba Immigration, collect your luggage and then go thru US Customs, deposit your luggage so it is put on the plane and then depart.

this US customs IN aruba is unique and is a very great perk!

once you arrive back in the USA, grab your luggage and proceed to your final destination. NO doing customs there!!!

Just to clarify; Your luggage should be checked through to your final destination in the US if you are connecting.
