My thought is that it would cause undue stress for folks flying into and out of MCO during Orlando's summer tourist season.

Anyhow, hope you are having a blast at the Tam!

According to Angelo's Sunday news letter the two suspects were let go.

    Confusing.

Maybe there was was insufficient evidence? A dog may or may not sniffing out 2 women might not be sufficient.
I have heard nothing about their release but I will ask.

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry about that entire episode! I cannot imagine how frightening and exhausting it must have been. I have no idea how those two "jokesters" should be punished, but they shoudl be held accountable. I do hope that the rest of your stay makes up for the way you began.

I am a bit cynical. I imagine they do not want to have to deal with how prosecution may impact future travel. For some reason, "copycat" jokers may decide to disrupt flights in much the same way if they read about how this episode created chaos for so many.

I also think that there may be some concern that tourists who are already edgy will just stay home. Tourism is a bit off already, so the potential damage a prosecution can cause may not be worth it. This is not how I see it. I would throw the book at those two.

This is unbelievable. What is up with people lately - or is it just we are hearing more about plane incidents since the United one where they dragged the guy off the plane? My BF keep saying that No One better act up on our flights to Aruba in October. He's thinking about bringing zipties and duck tape just in case!!! Strap them to their chair and away we go!!
Hopefully we'll be back in Spring 2018

I saw this on our local news. After watching, I do think they had the wrong people arrested. If they were guilty, I don't think they would have gone to the media.

Thanks for posting this Tracey, it just shows there are two sides to every story. It's too bad this ruined their desire to return Aruba, but I get it. Folks need to remember that when they travel to a foreign country the rules can be very different from what they are used to back home. In most countries outside the U.S. you can be "detained" for the most simple infraction. So now the question is who was responsible?

    Thanks Tracey.
I was wondering if they had been released and now what?

I am sure many chapters are still missing from this situation.
