    Southwest First Timer!

    WE ARE BOOKED!

I just booked our flights! First time on Southwest Airlines. Hoping it's ok - I know there are very strong opinions on both sides

I just couldn't pass the price. We will have a stop over in Orlando (only an hour each way) but the fare is $456pp! Compared to the $853pp for non stop from JFK (Delta) or $801pp non stop from Newark (United)

And, even better, I extended by 2 nights and planned to stay in the high rise area for the first time ever, but, the southwest website suggested Tropicana (right behind LaCabana) for $29.45 per night for a 2BR/1BA suite. How could I pass that up?

We flew Southwest for the first time last week when we left Aruba. I had my concerns, but the price was so much better that we decided to give it a go. We had a great experience. I would definitely do it again. We paid extra for zone A.

We're flying out of Newark. I didn't see a zone option - the only thing I saw was $12.95pp for early boarding.

yes, sign yourselves up for that option
it pretty much guarantees you zone A which is place 1 - 30 or 35

We have flown to Aruba on Southwest exclusively for the past few years. We always get early bird. With that the number you get assigned will depend on when you signed up for the early bird. Most likely you will get an A but we have received an early B at least once, which is still pretty good. They are always the cheapest for us by at least a couple of hundred dollars pp which is too good to pass up.

Good price - I'm shocked there wasn't a cheaper direct flight coming out of JFK. And that's an INCREDIBLE price for the extension.

I am close to Newark, JFK & LaGuardia. The prices for the last few years have really sucked in August.
