    Southwest spring schedule

Hi everyone! Does anyone know, or has anyone found the information online as to when Southwest will extend their booking beyond April 6th? Most airlines are booking beyond that date already.

However, looking at other spring dates, their fares don't look very discounted. I think they are incorporating checked baggage charges into a fare. At one time their fares were quite a bit cheaper than other airlines, but I'm not finding that anymore. I've seen many comments from people who like their boarding/seating process. I used to, but don't care for it anymore as now they offer you boarding with group A if you pay for it ahead of time.

Be careful with paying for group A I went in August down Southwest and a nice lady standing in line with us in group B said that her and her husband paid for group A and he got in group A and she ended up in back of us in group B almost at the back.
    Next Aruba trip in

Thank you! I have marked October 27th!

And Yes, I will absolutely be careful and pay attention to what I pay for. I think the whole airline industry at this point is a mess with changes in flight plans, seating reassignment problems, overbooking, luggage fees, carry-on inconsistencies, etc. etc. I check and double check everything.

I don't understand why the delay. I'm getting very anxious to book, and I don't know how much longer I can wait for Southwest to get it together. I don't know of any other airline that doesn't have their schedule/fares published less than 6 months out.

Always been a problem for me with them. The year we took the grandkids to Disney World we kept checking for their fares in June but they didn't post them until almost June. We ended up buying on AA at the end of April instead. When their fares finally did come out it would have been inside the 2 week window for our travel, so we ended up saving money on AA. I don't know why they cant seem to get it together.

I was always under the impression that this was part of their business model and one of the reasons why they were able to offer such affordable airfares?
