Andrea, I have a question. We are traveling to Aruba in July and Southwest did not open dates that far. Could we book travel now and change the date? Southwest is the airline we use most often but did not know if we could book now and maybe change the date. I appreciate any opinion on this. Thanks in advance and have a nice day. Sue

    yes you absolutely can.
    no change fees.
but if there is a difference in the fare, ....up you will pay the difference.
if there is a drop in the fare, i do not know if there is a credit.

Thanks so much. I do know that if there is a change in the fare you do get a credit on a future flight but it is l year from the date you purchase the ticket not l year from the date of travel. I will go ahead and book our flight and thank you for your help. I love this forum. So many good tips and really nice people.

And remember to price different days if you're a little bit flexible. I priced Easter weekend travel from PIT. Sat to Sat is $765, Sun to Sun is $660 and Mon to Mon is $518 RT. I've even taken a cheaper flight home which caused us an extra night on the island. I saved a little money even after paying for one additional night stay. But, not after I hit the casino that one extra night!

Thank you for the advice. I will check. We are staying at Playa Linda from Sunday thru Sunday. I wanted to be sure to have as much time as possible so we are arriving on Saturday and staying at the Holiday Inn. I am also looking forward to visiting the casino. We will not be going to Las Vegas this year so we can visit Aruba.
