    Unhappy United Airlines from Newark

I just thought I would share this as I saw this last night. They were offering non stop to Aruba on a Sat.-Sat. for $374 pp rd trip. YIKES this is the cheapest I have seen it ever. I purchased last week and thought I got a bargain as they were up to over $700. This is for mid to late January. prime time. I told my husband to hide all the knives in the house!! I paid $535pp a week ago. I am so tortured now. haha.GOSH I hate when this happens!! What can we do? It is the way it goes!!! A frown for me but a smile who anyone can take advantage of this great price.

We are booked at the Surf Club for June 24-July 8 (Monday flights) and I have been tracking the United Newark to Aruba fares for 3 weeks now. This morning it is at $691 pp r/t-and that's the lowest I have seen over the past few weeks. Seems like United -who has the only direct from Newark to Aruba- has really jacked up the fares during the higher demand periods. I guess we'll play the waiting game for a while and see what happens.

    mjl60621,

I thought about calling them but you know any changes made they charge 150 per ticket. If they gave me a credit to use for the following year would be helpful. The airlines are not in a position to be nice to people. just make money. At least I am going. I will get over it one day. The differencein $$$ would have bought a few great dinners at the Madamns home in Aruba. haha.

Jeffnev, wait it out for awhile. When I was looking 8 months ago the fare was in the $600 once even in the $700's. I thought I got lucky at $535. If I would have waited another week I would have saved over $300. Who knew?? At least I am goin!!
