US Customs
Have had just a fabulous week in Aruba but sadly that will come to an end tomorrow.
We have some items we have not eaten/used -- i.e., starkist tuna in the pouches, tea bags, and some prepackaged snacks like chips. Are we allowed to bring those back thru US Customs. I looked but was still not clear on whether we could or couldn't. I assume we cannot buy sandwiches here at the resort and take them to eat at the airport because of the meat factor.... Anyone have any knowldge? |

I came thru on April 19th with stuffed pastry from the bakery with no trouble. It was in my carry on bag and no one questioned it. . . . They ( US side ) also did NOT pat me down after I set off the alarm with my metal replacement knee. That was a first as they ALWAYS run the wand and pat me down. . . . . Strang this time ? ? ? ? ? ?

there is a food court-like set up before you go into us customs.
i think there is at least a sbarros there. then upstairs at the gates (crying room departure area) there are some areas set up for food....burgers, chicken sandwiches, cinnabon etc.... upstairs in the departure area is also a small bar. |

Andrea, I think I know the small bar you are talking about. My wife and I grabbed something at Sbarros last time before we headed to the "crying room". Last time we will do that. We found this little bar (if it's the one your talking about), and had a great last couple of hours there. Bartender was fun and informative. Drinks were excellent and they were making pressed hot sandwiches. We were mad that we had already eaten. We are hitting next time.

Hi BIll, I think I know the song. Ma Ma sings it at one of the bar stops on the kukoo kunuku trip. Your right hysterical! I could see why they can't play it anymore, I'll ask anyway!
