Unhappy what is it about Washington

ok, first cancelled was the UNITED AIRLINES Washington/Aruba flight (during the summer) for our Wednesday Dec. 17th departure and today US AIRWAYS just cancelled their Aruba/Washington flight on Dec. 30th(our departure date)!

What is it with the Washington area and their flights to Aruba? This is our first time travelling via Washington and it will be our last as it is too difficult dealing with these last minute cancellations.

Randi I think it is all of the airlines and many of the hubs. Delta is cutting domestic capacity a significant amount again next year. Bad for those flying to Aruba connecting through Atlanta.

Randi, its true being in the travel industry, Arubalisa is right. Because of the cut flights thye will be more cancellation in the airlines hubs. AA is doing it to MIAMI

I get that but to cancel a flight weeks before??? The problem becomes that where do you put these people? Other flights are full and people need to get home????

Is Washington a place that tends to get more flights cancelled than other cities?

US airways doesn't really hub out of Washington, so it's not entirely surprising that their flight was cancelled. United is somewhat surprising.
