What can I bring TO Aruba?

    Hi,

We rented a house this year in Aruba to take a break from our timeshare. We are looking to bring some alcohol down with us but have not been able to find out exactly how much we can bring per person without penalty.

    Any help would be appreciated!!!

    23 days and counting......... :-)

1 litre per person duty free.
and the person carrying the liquor MUST be older than age 16.

sometimes it is even worth it to pay the duty when you exceed your limit.

    exact amount unknown.
but a few years ago friends traveling with us had loaded up at a NH state liquor store and brought in 6 bottles. 2 of them were duty free and when they told me the amount of the tax they had to pay at aruba customs, it was still a "bargain". it was pretty inexpensive, i think just a few bucks per bottle.

we had our own duty free liquor so could not help out by carrying their extra.

these folks were honest when going thru aruba customs.
when leaving the airport. the agent asked if they were bringing in liquor and they answered yes.

quite often those aruba customs agents say nothing, ask nothing and just wave the tourists right through.

    it is a crap shoot.

    i respectfully disagree.
many folks would rather a mixed drink
    or
    straight up drink

i, personally only like beer if i am incredibly thirsty and or eating pizza.

i agree that the local beer is good.
