Easter is what is bringing the fare so high. If you are at all flexible, Sunday to Monday US Air/American through Charlotte is $594 each. JB non-stop is $767 each.

Cindyo and I each got a Southwest Card; each paid $99 first year annual fee. After spending $2,000 on anything (like that's a problem, right?), we each got 50,000 free Southwest points; more than enough for a free RT to/from Aruba for each of us from Boston if you're flexible with dates.

Yea thats a big part of my problem is the flexibility. My wife is a second grade school teacher so we can only go on her school vacation weeks, which that right there creates an increase in flight prices. But we have been the past three years, which one of the years was Easter week, and I didn't pay any where near as much they are asking this year.

The prices have gone up and being from the Midwest, we have two legs and not many carriers. I paid about a $150 more per ticket this year over last.
