If you are using Bully he will give you a time for pick up at your hotel, but generally the rule of thumb on Saturdays IS 3 hours.

3 hrs PRIOR to flight time.

all timeshare folks do not leave on saturdays.
thurs, fri, sat and sun are the majority of timeshare check in/out days

thursday and friday are the lightest.
    saturday heavy
    sunday pretty heavy

some timeshares BLUEGREEN program and MARRIOTT Program have other options of check in days.

I would say 2 1/2 hours to be on the safe side. We have always had a flight around 3:30 pm and have to check out of our room by Noon, so if we leave the resort at noon and figure in traffic getting to the airport, it all works out fine.

Our favorite place on the island, is the great beach at the Boca Grandi. The water is the best, and its very quiet.

If your flying early on Monday between noon and 2pm, you probably only have to be there 2 hours early.

From my observations, Saturday is the busiest day by a fair amount. Sundays are the second busiest. Weekdays are less busy. Never less than two hours though, just to be on the safe side. Also leaves time for a pre-flight beer and sandwich.

When we flew out before we always had a flight around 1pm. arrival at the airport around 11 since the one part of the airport does not open til then. ALWAYS had to wait and wait for our time.

I think with a later flight the 3 hours may be necessary. Thanks for your help.

My next question-- what can I do in the morning before I head to the airport.?

Since my casino results have been fairly consistent over the years, I've decided it's much more efficient to just drop off a bunch of cash at the casino and use the time more constructively.
