When to book flight for Dec trip??

Right now flights from Indy are close to $700/pp. I don't know when I should book our flights for end of Dec (xmas week). I'd hate to pay more than $700, right now for the 4 of us, we are looking at $2700....do I hold out and see what happens..and if so when should I book by? This is our first time going in the winter, we are usually there in June. Thanks for the help!

for christmas from indy..............i do not think you are going to get much better than that.
if it were me (and it's not) i would grab the tickets and run.

all available configurations? mixing up airlines? booking as individual flights not round trips?

good luck, but imo if you are to get $700 pp for christmas, that might be a good price.

Our Christmas/New Year's flights were booked on Delta for $709 on February 23. The fare now is $755.

I am with Andrea, $700 is reasonable. Christmas flights always sell out. The less seats available, the higher the fares will escalate.

we usually go the first two weeks of December and get our flights for under $500 BUT as Andrea & Lisa said, Christmas week is a whole new ballgame. I would venture to say that unless you want to chance like a month before, which is a HUGE gamble, I would grab those flights, too. When we go, its considered low season.

Another reason I like to book early is you can choose your seats and seat together. It would be a bummer if the 4 of you were scattered in different areas of the plane due to lack of seats available if you wait too long

$700 or under sounds decent for that week. I waited one year too long and had to pay over $1000 a ticket for New Years week.
