do the notaries charge a flat fee for each deed transfer or do they charge a percentage of the sale?

Fees vary by notary - I would ask the notary's office directly.

I'm in the process of building a house in Aruba. Someone recommended Johnson as the notary. Does anyone have experience with Johnson notary? Thanks!

Does anyone know if there is a U.S. Notary on the island? I need to have something notarized as soon as possible.

you may want to contact the usa customs office at the airport in aruba.
they may be able to help

there is a usa consulate office in curacao.
you may want to make a call to that office and they may be able to point you in the right direction.

    good luck

Also check out travel.state.gov, it does have information on how to get your documents notarized overseas.

I would also check with a couple of the local notaries....Yarzagaray or Johnson. They may be aware if there is one here Another idea would be to contact Dick Souge at ColdwellBanker as he has business in the US and the other islands as well

Unfortunately, looks like there is no U.S Notary in Aruba

I would not recommend Johnson. Our closing took too long.
