Ceiling Fan Blades...

Boring Question I know....

Anyone know the best place to buy replacement ceiling fan blades. We have a few "Hampton Bay" fans and can't find compatible blades anywhere. Shipping charges from the U.S. are just ridiculous (more than the cost of the blades !!)....

Best bet (and not a sure thing by far) is the General Store.
It's on the highway by the airport right by the Pricemart
turnoff.

General note - finding this kind of stuff is hard.
We use QFAruba and have them freight forward
the stuff via a Miami address. As long as you can
get them to put it in a 'tiny' box - it's not so bad.

They have a shipping calculator on their site.
Also if their 'usual' shipping costs are out of
control - ask them about putting it on a boat.
Will take longer but you can save $$

You might want to check out bundlebox.com as well. They let you have stuff shipped to a US address, then bundle it all (they will hold stuff for up to 30 days to make up a box) and then ship it to you.

Haven't used it myself, but it sounds like the thing you need.

Bundlebox sounds like the 'shipping' option which I mentioned.
If you are in a 'fix' and need it right away - this is option will take
time as some of these companies do not get a lot of shipments
to Aruba and it can take awhile to fill the container and then
it takes a while on the ship and then to go thru the container/customs
facility here.

QFAruba will get you your package in about 1 -2 weeks which
is really fast for here if you chose how they usually send stuff.
The Aruba mail system is not that great and we have had many
shipments never get here and also take a really long time.

There are other 'mail forwarding' services on the island. I have
tried many of them and just happen to like the quality of service
and the prices best. For something like 10 - 15 AFLs they will
even deliver your mail or packages to your house.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

I will see whether the blades are available in the stores mentioned and might just take the advice to buy a whole new fan if there isn't much in it - Crazy eh ? But if its not much more for the whole fan that would seem to be the best way to go....
