Anything relating to tourism is king here. I have looked at the hotel's websites from time to time and have not seen much for jobs here.

But skilled jobs (chefs come to mind) are a better bet for a job since
it is something that the company can say 'we have found no qualified
    Aruban to fill the job'.

Just remember - languages are key here too - Papimento, Dutch,
English and now spanish is big since the influx of latin american
    tourists.

    Hi Mrs. Annjell,
I got your message but I'm still 'blocked' to send any reply...
Please can you make a miss-call to my phone number so I can call you back?
I am still 'blocked' to reply any message and/or to put my e-mail address and don't have any other way to communicate with you. Or maybe you can PM me again and inform me of your e-mail address or a phone number to call you.

    Thank you so much

we discourage folks from divulging their email address on the forum ........it is problematic (spam)
same reason you are not allowed to PM a person til you have made 5 postings (it is a spam preventer)

but if you want to post your email, go for it.

    Moving to aruba

So heres the deal, my girlfriend has a teaching job in aruba. She is going to be down there for 19 months. Is there any way that I can either get a job down there or find some way to stay down there? If we got married would that make any difference? What do I need to do in order to stay down there? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much
    Noah

The school should be providing you with all the information regarding
her working permit (they should be filing the papers) and also
    about you staying there.

You will have to file w/ the immigration office (DIMAS) for residency.

Not much information on the web. Your best bet is to make
sure the school takes responsibility for it. If they don't -
    consider that a 'red flag'.

I'm assuming she is teaching at the international school -
there was someone named Ryan on the list who moved
down here to work there. I don't know if he is on the
    boards anymore.

Correct, she is workign for the international school. But she said the only way for them to be able to process my paper work was if I were working for them. Is there anything at all I can do about getting a job down there? How long does a work permit usually take? If we dont get married, what can I do to get down there if i cant find a job down there? I guess my questions is are there any loopholes or bypasses for moving and working down there?
