I guess you could try to file the spouse as retired. that might work -
but you wouldn't be able to work here but could live here.

They are in the process of changing the rules anyway since
the new gov't came into power. Don't know what it will
be but it's supposed to be much more liberal than the
previous admin.

So cross your fingers.

moving to Aruba websites

Does anyone know of any good websites with practical information about
moving to/living in Aruba, such as residency visa requirements, etc?

Just remember everyone's 'case' is different. For instance
getting residency as a retiree is much different than
getting a work permit/job.

So, what about children coming on a parents student visa? I will be flying back about 2x a month from Washington DC. I just want to get the kids in school down there.

There is info at the link above on residency and jobs. There are certain strict requirements which must be met.

working in aruba

I'd like to correspond with anyone living in Aruba about large scale gardening. By the end of 2012 I might want to be living in Aruba raising all kinds of vegetables and growing fruit trees in the "remote" areas. I'd be interested to know what supplies are there and what housing conditions are like, transportation etc...
