Living in Aruba

Once again we spent the most incredible time in Aruba. We have a timeshare there, but we would like to buy land and a house. We're not sure about the legalities. If you know of anyone who has moved to Aruba please send me there contact information or send them my email address.

Every time we leave to come back to the states I feel like I'm leaving HOME!

HI Pat - responding to your topic on Aruba message boards. My husband and I felt the same way about calling Aruba home and moved here permanently in April, 06. We are loving it, and have answers to all your questions with nothing to promote! Contact me - DM

Re: Living in Aruba

Hello Donna;

My husband and I are planning to retire in Aruba and are currently trying to locate some help from others. Can you forward any contact information you may have kept along with any advice? How long did it take to acquire Residence Permits? Did you purchase or are you renting? Did you ship personal belongs, auto? Cost? Since moving there, do you feel differently about the island? What area did you choose to live in? Electricity and water are said to be extremely high.. how much different in your opinion? Do you miss the variety for shopping of food products, clothing or any other items? How often do you plan to return home to visit family? Alot of questions for you, but I can't wait for your reply. Look forward to it.

Buddy, when are you going to be in Aruba? We arrive Sept. 11.

We purchased a house in Aruba 2 years ago & may be able to help with info. It would help if you could let me know what you have done so far.
