Meds In Aruba - Extended Stay (months)
We are going to Aruba end of Feb. and DH will return to So. FL in May and I'll return in September. What does he do about his meds? Does he need to make appts. with Dr.'s in Aruba? Any help would be appreciated.

Another possible suggestion would be to ask your US physician to order a "vacation prescription override" refill for each medication, that you would take with you just before you leave, to cover the time period you will be away. This is a ONE TIME ONLY request that would have to be made by your MD with your insurance plan. F + J Landry Burlington, Ma. Last edited by burlingtontownie; 12-20-2008 at 11:21 PM. |

I was able to get a vacation prescription override here in the states before my trip. I dont believe you can get a prescription filled in Aruba unless an Aruban doctor writes it.

You are very Welcome. Have a great time!
In addition to talking to the doctors, make sure he talks to the agent of your insurance plan. They are the key. Have a great time.
