6 months out of the year requires no residency application.
After that you have to file. Like I said before - talk to the
school - they will either give you the name of someone to
talk to or the information.

I know a lot about residency but every case is different and I
would not pretend to even tell you what you have to do
in case i'm wrong. Even if someone gives you specifics here -
talk to an expert in Aruba!!

The boards can give you general information but your specifics
requires someone on island who is processing your gf's papers
who would be able to tell you what you have to do to come with her.

I know couples who had to get married in order to stay here. One
I know got married the night before they left.

You are wrong.......also if you are married you cannot be sure to have your residency permit.
As already written in this forum in 2007 my wife had the working permit (cpa and auditor for one of the big 4) but dimas did not released my residency permit ( the company filed the papers not me). At least not in 180 days...... so we had to leave anyway also if married (unless you want to stay 180 days without your wife)
Be careful..........

I guess you could try to file the spouse as retired. that might work -
but you wouldn't be able to work here but could live here.

They are in the process of changing the rules anyway since
the new gov't came into power. Don't know what it will
be but it's supposed to be much more liberal than the
previous admin.

So cross your fingers.
