    No Water Heater!

Just found out the place I rented has no water heater, anyone have any suggestions on how to heat our water besides boiling it on the stove? I read about solar shower camp bags and a portable shower head which seem to be readily available in the US but does anyone know where I can get one in Aruba?

This is for a unit that you rented, not own, correct?

The water is lukewarm during the day straight from the tap. You can get really hot water by leaving a garden hose rolled out in the sun.

The water in my shower never gets warm no matter what time in the day. However, I did find solar shower bags from the certified mega mall. Instead of the bags, I decided to purchase a portable shower head instead, anyone know where I can find one on Aruba?

I think this is pretty common. I was reading about Coral Reef resort in Saveneta and they state on their home page that they do not have a water heater, as is common in that area.

it is very common for lots of place to not have a hot water heater.
i am not sure but i would guess that less than half of residents do not habe hot water heaters.
all resorts DO have hot water.

We looked at A LOT of homes before we bought and most of them didn't have water heaters. I'd say 90%. We had to install it in our house. That being said, the water was lukewarm when it came out of taps at the villas we rented.

Coming back to Toronto, I always get a brain freeze when I first drink the tap water.
