renting

I would like to rent my house and i have a couple of queries.
Is there a requirement by law to register the lease agreement, and if so where?
Furtherrmore, if the tenant is not paying the rent, is it possible to ask him
to leave the house and which is the process to enforce it?
thank you

my suggestion to you is to contact a good aruba real estate attorney (notary)

or

check with a realtor rental agent

Are you looking to rent your house on a long term basis or as a vacation rental. I have done both. I do not know if you live on the Island or not. Aruba is governed under Dutch law and when it comes to property rental there are issues to be concerned about. One particular area is that of squatters rights and being able to have "renters" removed from your property. I suggest you discuss this with a Notary before you proceed, especially if it is long term rental. If you are renting as a vacation rental, select a credible rental/property manager with a proven track record. Check them out very carefully as there are some questionable operators.

Hope this helps. You can always PM me for more info
