    The Secret Is Out.....

Aruba along with Bonaire and Curacao made the list of the best Caribbean islands to live on and/or retire to

I thought that 30+ years ago. Unfortunately it's lacking beaches.

I dunno about Curacao. On my last trip one of the cab drivers who was from Curacao told me curacao was nothing like Aruba. He said there was a lot of crime there mostly due to drugs and youth gangs there.

When you look at the bigger picture when it comes to crime in the Caribbean, the levels on Curacao are way low compared to the numbers in places like Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Barbados, St. Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago and Antigua and Barbuda.

I did not feel unsafe in Curacao when I was there, but Aruba seems far more "cosy"... I do think there's more crime in Curacao, when we rented a car there, we could not park at certain beaches (or be not insured)
