I have handed in all documents to DIMAS. Now I heard people talking about how long it can take before i have my (temporary) permit. People say it can take 8 weeks, or even 4 months.

Any chance of speeding up that process? If I have my permit, I can get a drivers license...

We just got our temp. residency!!! It took longer to get our work permits. They will tell you they have up to 12 weeks to get the temp.. it didn't take that long for them to approve it. We got the approval in about 5 weeks. We still have to wait 5 weeks to get the documents, then we can be on the Island full time.
There is no way of speeding the process up.
