Taxation when moving to Aruba
I wanted to know one important detail about moving to Aruba. Will my personnal belonging that I purchased some 5 or 10 years ago be taxed when I enter the country? What about my cats?

you cats ?!?! ;-)
you really need to contact DIMAS and Aruba Customs and find out all of the particulars. your stuff (not living beings) will be taxed. lots of folks moving to aruba do NOT bring their stuff (furniture) due to the cost of transportation/shipping and the duty that would be owed. |

Andrea, I'll be moving to Aruba in about 5 years. For on, I am gathering a lot of information to make the move as smooth as possible.
Lisa, thanks for your links, the first one especially is very helpfull. From what I understand, my personnal belongings won't be taxed. I sent it to Hubby, he should be glad. |
