looking for a job as a Dental Lab Technician

so i'm going school here in the US and will be done in April of this year (2011) and I've read quiet a bit about the "chances" to work in Aruba, how the govt gives priority to locals (which is great) i'm just wondering how likely would it be for me to find a job there as a Dental Lab Tech and if lucky enough, how much should i expect to make? and would that be sufficient for living expenses?
    thank you all in advance!

check out the link / posts.

another suggestion is to go thru aruba yellow pages (google) and find a dental lab.
maybe one of the dental techs there may be able to give you some advice.

    IT/Project Management Jobs in Aruba

I know it can be difficult to find a job in Aruba if you are not a citizen, however I am wondering if IT or IT Project Management jobs are in demand on the island? I know it will be difficult but I do not even know how to go about finding available jobs? Is there a website to look?

I also have a strong sales background, and have heard that some of the timeshare companies, such as Marriott Vacation Club, will hire Americans to do sales. Does anyone have any information on this and know if this is true?

I know in America I would go in and ask to speak to the manager. Is this appropriate in Aruba as well? I am going to be back in Aruba in a few weeks again and would like to go try to speak to the manager at the Marriott Timeshare sales center if this is appropriate.

As you know already, very difficult at best to gain employment. Marriott is an American corporation, you may wish to start your search stateside?

    Work in Aruba

    Hi -
I'm interested in finding out about healthcare jobs in Aruba. I will shortly be starting school in the US to become a physician assistant (PA). PA's in the US may see patients and write prescriptions for most medications, but in theory they practice under the supervision of an MD. Does Aruba have an equivalent field, and what organisations might be able to tell me about licensing of US-trained professionals in Aruba?

My partner is a Doctor of Pharmacy here in the US, so I wonder if anyone could help with information about working in his field in Aruba as well?

    Thank you very much!!

you could get in touch with the medical director at the aruba hospital.
    and
the president of Xavier University, the medical school on aruba.

also too, go thru the aruba yellow pages and see if there are any PA in practice.

welcome to the aruba.com community forum tim
