This is pretty neat. Just plugged in the info for our upcoming trip:

By having a few sandwiches made in advance you can save quite a lot of money by not having to buy food on trains or at airports where food is expensive, or even impossible to get. Also important if you're travelling with kids."

Dh bought a roast beef. He is cooking it today and then will slice it on our meat slicer. Easy hot roast beef sandwiches for dinner tomorrow night with no cleanup. After dinner we'll take the remaining meat and make sandwiches to take on our flight on Thursday. Can you picture all the jealousy?

When Will Dh Take Me Back to Aruba?

Wow....I know I am neurotic but I thought I was the only one !!! All of you guys have me beat....I unpack everything, but usually know weeks out what will be going in and anything I need to buy is sitting waiting on a chair by the suitcases. I can't pack ahead because I fly so much with my job...although now that we are on the subject I could buy bags specific for the island.....When I start preparing my husband just rolls his eyes and reminds me how far away the departure date is.....I tell him to mind his own business and when we get there and he has forgotten something, ......I usually pull it out of my bag.........because I've prepared soooooooo far in advance !!!!

When Will Dh Take Me Back to Aruba?

And I thought i was the only one who did some of this stuff:

I have an excel spreadsheet on my computer that has several tabs:
- what I'm takng
- all contact info, flight info etc for THIS trip
- Sign with MY name/address, hotel name/address to put inside suitcase
- To do list
- foreign exchange

Then i just change the list depending on trip. (I have a similar list for Arizona).

I keep a laundry cart OUT in my apartment. The min. I get home, I do laundry and the stuff I can use for next trip goes in the cart.

I have a separate set of "travel drawers" (from Bed Bath & Beyond - the are stackable.

Also have on hand LOTS of "pack-it cubes" and zip-loc bags in various sizes. I plan my toiletries so I dont have to bring most of it back with me.

Then I have a new item on my To Do list: go to Cafe press website and get an appropriate aruba t-shirt for the plane ride DOWN.
