VACATION VAULT (what do i do w/ my stuff?)

Aruba lovers.
Many of us have concerns as to what to do with our "stuff" when we go to the beach, snorkeling, off roading etc in Aruba. (cameras, ipods, wallets, sunglasses to name a few)

We had a discussion on this board in the earlier part of the summer and one of the things that was mentioned was about the " vacation vault".
They will be available to purchase or to rent within a few weeks. The first units for sale/rental should be on the island in a couple of weeks. Obviously with shipping, handling and local retail markup the price will appear to be a little higher in Aruba, but when taking into account shipping charges in the US and Canada, it evens out. The suggested Aruban retail is $38.50.

At present they are selecting key retail outlets to handle direct customer sales. In the interim, there is an email address for interested parties to get more info. All they need to do is email and brochure will be sent by pdf attachment. The email address is vaults@solpalmas.com All inquiries will be answered.

they really are pretty awesome

they have a strong cable and one can lock up the belongings and secure it to a palayapa or lounge chair.

someone would have to be quite ingenious and blatently stupid to carry away a lounge chair or bringing strong bolt cutters.

The Vacation Vault is a sturdy ABS plastic safe with a 3 dial combo lock. Great for pool, dorm, home, RV, or anywhere you need portable safety for your valuables. A steel cable locks the safe to a fixed object. Use the built-in 14 inch steel cable to secure it to any fixed object.

i ordered mine online and by the time i paid shipping it was $39

see if they will be available for your trip and if so, why not pick it up down there and give the business to a forum member.

if not going to be available, then find your best deal online.

and mine.........i ordered it, looked at it, (threw in a few things to test it out my ipod, paul's ipod, my kodak easy share camera, a ring of keys and there was still room for a wad of HUNDRED dollar bills hahahahaha.)
dear son snatched the thing and said "wow this will be great for camping and off roading" the big fat sap that i am let him take it. he and becca will use it i am sure during their aruba honeymoon at christmas.

i suppose i will have to add the "vault" to my christmas list.

danadog, we've been using the vacation for a few years now, there great also will hold let's say 2 cells, 2 wallets, i=pod,kindle, keys,, cc, cash & more. They lock anywhere beach, casino, under car seat etc. When we order ours it arrived in less than 2 weeks, Vacation vault.com, they also sometimes have them on e-bay, but then you don't know they get mailed.
