I brought a sixer of Brights back once... they didnt all make it, and they were so shaken up that the ones that did survive were kind of skunked. I do my enjoying of the Aruban beers in Aruba. Hard to duplicate at home.

<<knock on wood>> We have hard sided luggage and pack our Brights by simply wrapping them in clothing and packing them in between other clothing in the CENTER of the suitcase.<<knock on wood>>

This is an older thread, but are the rules and chances the same for bringing food into Aruba? Has anyone had any problems recently? We've always brought snack stuff, but this is the first time I'll be trying to bring cooked, frozen meat and frozen cheese slices. Thanks!

I'm not aware of any recent changes. Last January there were no issues. Frozen cheese slices???

i have been unlucky with frozen cheese...crumbly mess.

we had no issues bringing frozen cooked meals... in May.

friends just arrived there on friday and had no issues bringing in frozen cold cuts, and frozen cooked chicken breasts and frozen and cooked pot roast.

Thought I read that someone had success bringing processed cheese slices. Maybe I don't have to freeze them, or probably I'll go to the cheese counter at Superfoods or Lings and take advantage of their great selections. Has anyone brought food down in a carry on? How much additional hassel does the TSA give you?

i have avoided bringing food in carry on, frozen or otherwise.
we have a couple of small soft sided coolers that we stick in our checked bags.
the frozen things still arrive frozen!

    have a wonderful trip walt!!
    enjoy every moment there

I have not had any crumbly issues with frozen processed cheese slices - my kids like Costco's Kirkland brand.

Thanks Andrea, you know we will!! I guess we're going to put some stuff in a soft sided cooler and see how it goes. We're mostly just bringing lunch type items, I'll let you know how it turns out.
