I was wondering if there is a duty-free shop in the Aruba airport to buy liquor & wine? If so, is it easy to get to once we land & before we head to baggage claim? Any information would be appreciated! I read somewhere that indeed there is a duty-free shop, but also read somewhere else that it no longer exists. I'd like to buy some wine & maybe a bottle of liquor before heading to our resort, but also don't want to have to wander through the airport to try and find it! Thanks for the help!

Pack what you need, or purchase at duty free from original destination.

Well then can anyone recommend a good place to buy alcohol near the Costa Linda resorts?

I know we'll spend an arm & a leg, but we really want to stock up our room. My husband drinks Coors Light, so hopefully we find that, and I'd also like to buy some wine and maybe a bottle of liquor.

But I heard if you purchase duty-free in the States, you still get taxed on it on the way in. Not sure if it's worth that effort, especially since we'll mostly be drinking beer. One free liter per person 16 yrs or older.....beyond that $11 per liter. At least that what it was on 4/10/2009.
