    bubblewrap

be prepared though if you have it in your checked luggage AND aruba customs stops you to search, you could be responsible for duty/tax.

when we were there in October they did not sell beer at the duty free arrivals in aruba. I don't know if that changed. I don't know the hours, sorry.

Since a case of beer contains around 6 or 7 liters, I would imagine the duty would be excessive on the overage of what you are allowed (1 liter) versus just buying it at SF, Lings, etc.?? Or would beer fall into a different set of allowances?

Allowance on beer is 3 litres which is still way short of a case!

    Sounds good!

I will definitely check it out when we arrive in September. $22 for two liters of rum is a pretty good price. What brand are we talking about though? Is this for local Aruban rums or something more familiar? I buy rum at home for $21 for a 1.75 liter of Cruzan, which is better than Bacardi (in my opinion and in my liquor store employees' opinions also).

I usually buy a bottle of Havana Central Rum from Cuba at Lings Grocery. Its very good and they have an age rum! I wish I could take one back to the states.. They don't carry it at the duty free..
