Flavored Vodka

Hi, I'm leaving for Aruba on June 27th and was wondering if anyone knows if you can get raspberry flavored Vodka at any of the supermarkets in Aruba. Also, I know each person is allowed 1 litre bottle to bring into Aruba, does anyone know what 1 litre bottle is equal to? (Is it a fifth) I appreciate any help you can give me. Looking forward to my first trip to Aruba.

lings has a fairly good selection of many vodkas
i do know that they have the speciall flavors but cannot guarantee raspberry.

1 bottle duty free per person age 16 and older

isn't a litre the equivalent of a fifth?

A fifth is 750 ml. So a liter is a little bit bigger.

You can purchase Raspberry Schmirnoff and Raspberry Absolute at Ling and Sons. I recall that a liter of the Absolute is about $28 there.

Litre

A litre is approximately 34 ounces...a bit larger than a quart.

Yes you can get raspberry Absolut at both Lings and King. I always drank Absolut Citron (lemon) on the rocks when I was drinking that kind of thing and then......Screaming Eagle made a misake and served me Absolut Mandarin. After a taste I called them over and asked what it was - they tried to take it back and replace it with Citron but could NOT pry it out of my hands. Yummmmm!!! I'll have to try the raspberry. I know Yemanja has it as I asked for Ab Mandarin (btw the other orange vodkas are not as sweet because they use regular oranges and not Mandarin oranges) and they said that they had raspberry if they couldn't find the Mandarin.

re: raspberry vodka

a month ago when we were in florida we visited a friend and had dinner and a drink at his house.
at the friend's house he made my husband a white russian....kahlua, vodka, milk.

later that evening dh said he was sick with an upset stomach and that drink was the worst he ever had.

turns out it was raspberry vodka in the white russian (gag)

MAMAB welcome to the forum

Hope you find your vodka, but if you don't there are plenty of good bartenders and drinks to have in Aruba.

A couple friends of mine love the firefly sweat tea vodka. They went through a few bottles of that over the three or four days we were there.
