    Zeerover!

We buy our fresh fish from Zeerover in Savaneta. Go there, enjoy an Amstel Bright, enjoy whatever they are cooking . . . and bring home some fresh wahoo or grouper to cook at home - YUM!

    Fresh Fish

Hubby and I were wondering why there was no fresh fish in the stores in Aruba. Why are they imported? Aren't there enough around the island?

I spoke to a realtor for at least an hour about different things and it came up during our conversation. We then entered a grocery store and didn't see any fresh fish. I don't know, there maybe a fresh fish store somewhere but we didn't have the time to visit the island during our cruise stop. It is one thing that we sure will look into the next time we are there.

Lisa, thank you for opening a new thread for me. I'll make sure to place my questions in the proper section from now on.

We've had dinner at Marina Pirata and watched the fishermen pull up to the kitchen door to sell their fish. Fishermen hold up each fish, one by one, and the cook picks and chooses which fish to purchase. It does not get any fresher than that.

If you are able to cook fish, go to the docks to buy it. Someone from our condo complex buys his fish some where past the airport. Fresh, just taken from the ocean that morning, ask a local!!!!!
