Liquor Stores

what types of rum (captain, bacardi), vodka (stolichnaya, absolut)and wines (specialty aruban wines? Pinot Grigio?) do these stores carry and what are the prices? We will be having some people stopping by our room and want to be able to serve some beverages, before going out.

We will be staying @ an all-inclusive but some of our friends are not, and will be stopping by before the wedding.

TIA!
Beth

Re: Liquor Stores

Hey Beth,

The liquor stores in Aruba have all the same liquors as in the states but they are a bit more expensive. Your best bet is to buy your liquor at the airport when you arrive as it is much cheaper. I'm not sure what kinds of wines they have but I'm sure there is a large selection.

Re: Liquor Stores

Hi Beth

Yes they have all the same name brand liquors.

Aruban wines? Thats a good one. It would have to be a cactus based recipe (tequila perhaps?) because I've sure never seen any vineyards.

Prices are good compared w US except beer is like $30 @ case.

Cheers!

Suds

Re: Liquor Stores

You will find all the above at the Supermarkets, although it will be cheaper at the duty free Liquor shops at the airports.

Re: Liquor Stores

It is best to pick up your hard liquor at the duty free carts when you arrive...the prices are great there...wine you can buy at "Lings" for best prices...they carry anything you can get at home...Rum is cheap because it's from Puerto Rico- and they get great prices!! Best wishes

All of those brands of liquors are available at the grocery stores - Ling and Sons has a large selection - you may also want to consider buying them at duty free shops before you leave the states at the airport - much cheaper there.....Have a blast....Cheryl

Re: Liquor Stores

you can bring in to ARUBA at least 3 bottles with you ..it is cheaper in the USA ,everything wine beer champayne...and when you leave Aruba you can stock up because when you leave Aruba you will see a HUGE liquior store IN the airport that you can only purchase from when you are leaving!!the Kiosk that sell liquior at the airport was a joke when I came to Aruba. It had nothing I wanted!!

Mas Tequila

Hi all!

New to me, usually I'm in Mexico, but a great chance came up so I'm on my way and looking forward to checking out Aruba. I land on the 26th of January.

So, the only Tequila they have in the duty shops here is Jose Yuckquevo. I was wondering if anyone knew how much the real tequilas are in Aruba. Like Patron or Corelejo. Also, how expensive is the Aruba beer in the stores compared to say Mexican beer or is every imported beer $30 a case?

Thanks for the info...
