Called (yes, called) Ling and Son. Absolute Vodka is $28/liter and $21 for 0.75 L. Not much worse then at home. I guess this is as good as we're going to do for price unless someone has a better location.

If you get caught drinking your own you could be in trouble. I think it is against the FFC laws.

Downtown within walking distance of Ren -

Kong Hing Supermarket (behind Renaissance, cross street and go to the left a little)

Also another supermarket which is about two blocks down from Old Fisherman on the other side of the road. Can't remember the name - Asian name...but really a nice market. Very clean and well stocked.

Both these have a good, reasonable liquor selection.

If you have LOTS of willpower, purchase at duty free in Aruba on your way home for your next trip. Absolute about $13.00/litre Crown Royal $32/1.75 litre, cheap gin for $11.00/litre, fancy gins for $20 to $30 per litre.

I know this doesn't help you this trip, but something to think about.

so from what i understand it would be a good idea to bring my own booze. The hard part is deciding what to bring. I am one of those ones who likes to switch it up every now and again.

Happy to be travelling

My wife and I always pack 2 cosmetic bags(each holds 10 nips) in our carry ons. Just order juice or tonic water. Only had 1 flight attendant that got a little snippy when she noticed. You definately try not to be noticed when you do it. And NO, we don't drink them all on the way down!!
