Looking for distilled water?

Hello to all......I am new to the message boards and I hope someone can help me with a strange request. We are arriving in Aruba on Saturday and my husband has recently been diagnosed with sleep apnea. He needs to bring his bipap machine to use at night which requires distilled water. Does anyone know where or if it can be purchased on the island? I have emailed Ling and Sons and have not heard back. We would appreciate any suggestions people have. Thanks in advance for your help.

and fwiw, the water in aruba goes thru a very complete distilling process.
my husband says the water from the tap is distilled water.

maybe you could check about if my husband is correct or not.

also too rob o, one of our members in aruba right now is a civil engineer specializing in water. he pops on this forum at least once a day so i will message him to read the thread and respond. he is the end all and the be all to water knowledge.

VERY confusing from WEB's website

http://www.webaruba.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&lang=US&id= 45
"Our tap water is a pure distilled product that has been treated in a modern re-mineralization process to absorb oxygen and important minerals like calcium. This gives the water its delicious taste. Tap water is safe to use, has no risk for human health and does not need further treatment; an advantage rare to other water distributing companies in the world."

http://dictionary.reference.com/
distilled water
–noun
water from which impurities, as dissolved salts and colloidal particles, have been removed by one or more processes of distillation; chemically pure water.

remineralization
Function: n
: the restoring of minerals to demineralized structures or substances <remineralization of bone>

SO the question is do they distill it and then add the minerals back in? If so then it would not be "true" distilled water would it?

When we were there Ling and Sons had run out of distilled water but we got some at King hong. The drug stores do not carry distilled water. We needed the water for my dh cipap machine too.

Just an FYI--pack the machine in carry-on and remove it from the bag when going thru security. When I forget to take mine out-depending on the airport-they will take my bag and screen it separately.

my friend Liz's mom was on one of the bi or c pap machines. (in aruba)

her reply to you....
"but if this is about c-pap machines for distilled water - has come up many times -
"Since the water in Aruba is already distilled and minerals added to it, mom just used it for her C-Pap..." Mick agrees that the Aruba water is distilled because of the desalnization."
thank you Lizzardo.
