Meats in aruba

I know as many times as I have been I have yet to really cook while there but as we are there for 2 weeks this trip we are planning on cooking in a few nights. So... can you get usda beef at Lings?? or is it Argentinine beef only??
I know they have chicken, fish and all that too..but wondering if we should bring steaks from home..

we bought some flank steak and marinated it overnight and then grilled. YUM
no idea if it was USA, Venezuela or local cow.
bought at lings and was the equivalent of about $5 a lb.
it was good, tender and excellent.

We buy meat here all the time. Mostly from Ling and Sons. Used to be from South America which was Fantastic. Now I think they buy most from the States, which is not nearly as great but still good. In most supermarkets you can buy all the different cuts and the price is pretty reasonable especially for the better cuts like Tenderloin and T-Bone.

Can you even bring your own groceries (especially meats) into the country?

Talk to the meat man @ Kong Hing. I think their beef still come from S. America. I agree with the previous poster; try the S. America beef, it's superb.
