don't know the exact date on the opening of iguana joes but the way the gm was talking it seemed like he was talking sometime within the next couple weeks..

The new mall is across from Texas de Brazil and Amici's. It is more in front of the Holiday Inn - it starts at the end of Playa Linda.

I'm not sure when you were there sagman. I stopped at the downtown Iguana Joe's 3 weeks ago - Oct. 6th. They were closed then for a couple of days fixing up the place. As for the new location they still don't know when it will open. It looked to me the same 3 weeks ago as it did in July.

was there from october 11th - 25th..spoke to gm on october 22nd..that's when he told me the timeframe..they might have been closed when you were there but they didn't do any major renovations..that's all i can say is what he expressed to me..

You were there after me - I left the 9th. You got more updated info then I.

yes i am in withdrawal..i was off from work for a total of 19 days and first day back yesterday, monday, was brutal..i took some pictures on my cell phone and a couple times throughout the day i just had to take a look at them, shut my eyes and pretend i was still there..lol

Christmas & New Years Aboard the Queen Mary 2

We just got back from Aruba 2 weeks ago. The mall has a Guess store, a Lacoste store and several bathing suit/bikini stores. Prices are high but it's fun to browse, especially when it's raining out. Caught the liquid fireworks in the centre of the mall at night; very cool. There's a great vibe on the strip in front of the hotels now; it was isolated and empty last time we were there so it's very different. Lots of people walking at night; fun, safe atmosphere.

Has anyone been to the Marriott Surf Club lately. I was wondering how the shops are in the new building.

Just got back on Monday. TGI Friday's is open. The shop at the Surf Club is nice but the Ocean Club (next door) has really great shops. There is a Tommy Bahamas shop and a few other fantastic shops. Also, the hotel opened a new shop which has beach wear but it is expensive.
