does anyone have any experience with them? We did. not satisfied with the way they handled the transaction and later the jewlery was less than perfect. I think they switched the piece on us.

Re: Noble Jewlers

Hello, I purchased 3 rings from Nobel Jewelers and they are all junk!!!! I obviously didn't know that at the time. The stone I bought was beautiful, now it's aweful. I agree with you that they possibly changed the stone. I went back a year later across the street to a jeweler (don't remember the name) however he was the cousin of Nobel...I wanted to trade in my ring for a bracelet. He said to me "who sold you this junk?" I said "Nobel Jewelers across the street". He was shocked, he said that he was his cousin and couldn't believe that he sold those rings to me. He wouldn't even give me 25.00 for them, nevermind WHAT I PAID FOR THEM!! I will never ever go there again! I tell everyone that I know that goes to Aruba to not go there, and I even tell people I've met there the same thing! We recently purchased a beautiful ring from Gemani Jewelers that appraised out more than 3 times what we paid. They are wonderful there. We are leaving for Aruba next Friday and definitly plan on going back to Gemani.
I feel bad that all these people are getting ripped off by Nobel Jewelers. Hopefully others will see these e-mails and remember.
Happy Holidays,
Your Aruba Friend

Re: Noble Jewlers

Would like to recommend Sean Paul Jewelers in town. They sell quality jewelry and are a pleasure to deal with.

Re: Noble Jewlers

After many years of buying Jewelry in Aruba- I only "trust" Columbian emeralds" for diamonds, emeralds and gold. I was a good customer of Shiva's for years...but I will NEVER purchase anything there again....over priced-rude-had one stone in a ring fall out four times...once five minutes (yes- 5 minutes after I left the store-when they supposedly put a new stone in AGAIN...and I'm not saying they put the stone in again and again and it was FREE...I paid the last two times for replacement!! Be very careful when purchasing jewelry on any Island..especially if your not planning to return to the same island again...to have it fixed!!!!!!!

Re: Noble Jewlers

We have been buying from Shiva's for the 6 years that we have been going to the island have even shopped in their store on st martin and have completely satisfied. Our pieces have always appraised higher than what we paid for them. We also found the sales people to be very helpful and friendly. This last time we dealt with Michael and we couldn't have been treated any nicer.I am writing just to let you know that overall our experiences have been very good with this store. Hope you have a great time, can't wait to go back.

Re: Noble Jewelers

I had them charge me twice for the same item! When I disputed the charge with my credit card company, Noble told them I bought two identical items!! Very shady operators. Fortunately, my credit card company refunded me the 2nd purchase price.

Re: Noble Jewlers

This topic has been discussed many times here over the past few yrs. Some love it at one outlet others do not. Good and bad have been circulated about almost every jewelry
store in Aruba.
Bigger stores like Columbian Emeralds, Little Switzerland etc. have employess that are not the most experienced people in many facets of jewelry. Some are to a point but no matter what you ask to see, they will tell you its perfect! You need to get to know an owner of a store or a long time manager there and make your wants known up front as to quality and how much you want to spend.
No matter how it is presented to you as in a special sale, etc. etc. your only going to get at best, what you pay for! These owner/managers have many 100's of friends and some people tend to think they are special to the owners and they get special treatment.
The flavor of selling in Aruba has been for a long time, to make customers feel comfortable and unique in the friendship dept. and the customer begins to feel he or she is getting something extra special that no one else can get! WRONG!
Thats why you read a lot of name dropping like, mention my name and you'll get a better deal. Yea Right!
The object is to make a purchase that is of comparable quality for a better price.
I'd shop in Shivas or Ram/Bijou's across from the mall downtown on the side street.

Get semi expensive purchases etc. in writing as to quality and return options. If they wont give you what you what to see in writing, pass.
Ram/Bijou will give a full yr. trade up for full paid price on any diamond piece.

I bought a $1200.00 mens ring there and traded it for a higher priced one for full value the following yr.
Diamonds are recirculated and reused all the time. Of course they wont be accepted if damaged in any way.
Only rare special requests for extremely expensive stones are generally ordered and are cut to the request...or acquired from another major diamond source out of the country to accommodate the costumer.
I dont think anyone can accurately tell you if the raw stones some jewelers show you under high intensity light are "new" first cut stones or are they reused and recirculated. Loretta's $3500.00 bust is a ton of money to get burned for. Nash Noble has been a good reputable dealer but he has had some real bad problems in the recent past with sales people conducting business improperly in many ways.
Two of them have left the island completely.
Curious, Loretta, did you go back to Nash personally? Possibly it still can be corrected to your liking.
