Best bang for the buck is Save-a-Lot down the street past Super Foods. The prices are good but they do not have everything you may need. Good meat and dairy sections. Most of their canned and boxed stuff is generic but good. I do about 95% of my shopping there. Good frozen food section too. . .

Bottled Water ?? With some of the purest (and safest) water to drink in the world due to the Islands desalination plant coming out of the apartment/Hotel Room faucets... Each to their own but save your money (and back pain) carrying water from the supermarket. Use a large soda bottle container, fill it with tap water and put it in the fridge et voila !! But like I said.... each to their own...

But is it a good deal? Can I use my passport one week and DW's the next week? What items are the best deal for short term (2 weeks). I know Leslie said pass on the meat, anything else?

Would a case of beer or soda be worth it?

With a 10% surcharge, depending on how much shopping you are planning to do, the $35 membership may be worth it. I know it would have been for me shopping for 13 people last August!
