Question for anyone whom may have done a recent price check on beer. Does the 10% surcharge at PriceSmart eliminate the cost advantage compared to a Save-a-Lot or Ling's?
    Thank you.

you may want to private message forum member Karen Lutzker or Liz-Aruba Lover.
I think that both of them know a fair amount of Price Smart.

I also think it comes down to the decision that do you want to spend precious vacation time chasing bargins to save a buck or two on food?

A price smart note. Forum member Karen Lutzker bought a 5 lb bag of naval oranges there last week that she said were the best she has ever eaten!!!

Good thought Doug! I usually think of how much we have spent to come so if we could save a few bucks that would be good...BUT if we added up the total cost of our trip (flights, rental car, taxi, timeshare maintenance fees or cost of resort, parking at airport you fly out of etc etc etc) then divide it by the amount of hours you are there we would be shocked what we are paying per hr of time in aruba. Even more for waking hours If we knew what we are paying per hour to relax on the island... then shopping for convenience over looking to save a little bit is a better option? Not sure. Crazy thought though!

You don't want to even think about how much you are paying per hour. Besides, can you really put a price on being in paradise? When we are on the island, convenience is key, cost isn't a huge factor...

Does Price Smart still have the one day pass option? If so, what is that cost?
    Thanks for the feedback.

Charge is 10% of your total order. you get the day pass at the customer service desk.

Thanks for the feedback. Is there a charge for the day-pass? Or just the 10% on top of the bill?
