Our favorite place on the island, is the great beach at the Boca Grandi. The water is the best, and its very quiet.

    Beer

We always get our Beer (Balashi) at the Super Foods grocery store. I think it costs $32.00 for 11 ounce cans. (24 cans).
    Have a great time

If you want beer then stick to the local stuff - Balashi and Amstel Bright are better buys than the American brands. Who needs a Bud when in Aruba anyway?

I like the Palmera rums, the shop in the green building just down from the grocery stores usually has the best prices.

Increase your budget for drinks! Local Balashi does come in 11 oz. cans too. Coming in, it's wise for each person to bring their limit of booze. If you get thirsty wandering the beach, beach bars charged from $5-9 per beer. Don't forget your coolie can holder.

Husband arrived in Aruba yesterday. He said that there is a small store by the baggage pick up-he got a bottle of Gin-about $6. less than Lings.

I don't know why the beer is so expensive, even Balashi that is local is 33.00 per case. Also most cases are 8 ounce can's or bottles. There must be a sin tax on the booze.

Curious, do the taxi drivers charge extra if you stop at Lings on the way to the hotel? We're staying at the Marriott Surf Club and it would be easier if we could get the shopping out of the way.
