Shopping in aruba
I will be in Aruba for 7 days in April, is it better to go shopping when the cruise ships are in port or on days they are not? I was thinking I read somewhere the prices are better when cruise ships are not in port.

i guess it depends on what you are looking for...
We have found great deals on jewelry either way. Feel free to bargain. Local shops don't bargain, nor have I seen prices change all that much when ships are in...I think I have seen T shirts go from 3 for $10 to maybe 4 for $10 in the hut areas.

I never go into town shopping when cruise ships are in.
I look at www.arubabycruise.com for when they are not there. Reason being the staff have more time for you and they do tend to give better prices because they need a sale for the day. That's my theory of 'shopping' at least!

As for shopping, I didn't notice a big difference when ships were in. We did, however, find it harder to get a table for lunch downtown!!!
