What are usually the operating hours for retail stores in the island on sunday december 23rd and monday december 24th? do they open late do they open normally or do they close? if you happen to know the exact hours of operations it would be great I'll be there that day taking a connecting flight so I might as well do some holiday shopping

usual operating hours for ANY sunday are "closed"
(some groceries are open til 1 pm)

december 24th - 25th- 26th closed christmas eve, christmas day, boxing day.

maybe the stores will be "un"usual and be open on the 23rd.

but how is it usually every year? cuz i've been on new year's to aruba but never on christmas day... for example, if it wasn't sunday would the stores be open on that day? lol, I'm going with my sister and we were planning to go shopping for some gifts and stuff for us, like shoes and perfumes, duty free and things like that... maybe in the airport?

Nothing is opened on the 25th and I think the 26th too. We always feel sorry for the cruise ships that dock on those days as not a shop in sight is open. Also, the shops downtown close at 6pm, which we always found surprising. Even right before Xmas, they don't stay open. Christmas eve, things close early too.
