Sunday wine purchase

We do not arrive in Aruba on Sunday until 3 p.m. By then the food markets are closed for the day. Does anyone know of a food market or somewhere else we can purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy before a late dinner?

unfortunately you will have to buy a bottle at one of the resort's conveninence stores.

OR

using some bubble wrap and cushioning with clothes...........you could put it in your checked luggage.

As mentioned you can buy liquor/wine at resort mini-markets. Also if downtown Captain's Cooks market at Renaissance Marketplace sells wine/liquor. In the high rise section near Wendy's & Dominio's Pizza theres Shop 'n Go market. http://shopngoaruba.com/

Liz is correct. However, let me warn you....there is a reason that many of us from Renaissance call it "Captain Crooks".....very expensive. One-and-a-half to twice the price of Ling and Son for alcohol.

We usually pack a few bottles of wine (like you said in bubble wrap - lots of it!) and bring them with us. We put it in the bag with all our shoes, snorkel gear, etc. just in case it breaks. We have never had a problem . . . yet!

Captain Cooks (crooks) is a few doors down from Waterfront Crabhouse. I didn't think that they were that expensive but I only bought sun lotion and batteries.

Yes, that is so weird...

Also, the Gas Stations are open and there is a small convenience store across the street from the Texaco on the Main Road "Sasakiweg" very close by La Cabana.
