I suggest going to see Steve at Times Square at Paseo Harencia. We have purchased diamonds and watches there and have been very satisfied. He and his family are great to work with. We were there last week but Steve was in India for a wedding . . . not sure when he is back. Tell him Michael from Canada sent you . . . if that doesn't jog his memory . . . tell him "remember, the guy you are trying to sell the Harry Winston watch to" . . . that will be sure to get his attention . . . lol

I vote for Kays as well. Used them for 8+ years. I always deal with THE OWNER JOE. If you go in tell him Randi from Canada sent you in. He will treat you well. They are nice people there.
CindyO sorry about your bad eperience at Kays. Go see Joe when you are in, he remembers everyone. |

Shame, shame, shame on me for buying a ring at Time Square Aruba in March 2010!
I love the setting very much or I would not have purchased it...BUT... I am finding more and more issues as time passesthat are costing me a lot more money! I took my ring to my local, reputable jeweler in the states because a tiny stone popped out of the setting. Benefit of the doubt...not a big deal. But today I brought it to the shop because not only is one prong broken, a second prong is cracked. My jeweler tells me that the setting that was created was very poorly crafted AND that the setting was clearly and obviously too small for the diamond I bought. I looked in a scope to see exactly what he was explaining to me and what he pointed out to me was quite obvious. Thus, shame, shame, shame on me! So if you want to be reassured (somewhat) of quality craftsmanship, ask around locally so you can go back if issues arise. Lessons learned. Could have bought a very nice, new car for that price, too. Good luck with your engagement ring! Buy it in the states. |

have you made attempts to rectify this with the jeweler in aruba?
my experience is that they want to keep the buyer happy. my experience is that they DO NOT want to see their business being spoken about in bad light on the aruba government's official site. please tell us of your experiences of your dealing with them after you found out of the shoddy workmanship? (if indeed there has been communications) and.........welcome to the aruba.com community forum! |

Bought our Ring
We ended up buying our wedding rings at Kays. They were great and are planning to visit them in May for our annual trip to Playa Linda. The sales people were really nice and they are not pushy at all with excellent service
