    Airport transfer

Some one told us it was less expensive & easier to take a taxi vs. resort bus. They also said check in would be quicker without the crowds.

    Any thoughts?

Yes, taxi would be less expensive than De Palm transfers.

Taxi from the airport to the Tamarijn is $22 each way.

There is a lot more info at

If you're alone, Depalm shuttle is $21 for a roundtrip. more than 1, cab it.

We prefer to take a taxi so we go directly to our hotel and do not need to stop to drop off others are different hotels. I think a taxi is a lot more convenient and quicker.

I know I'm in the minority on this subject but I like the DePalm shuttle. It's comfortable and the driver usually adds some commentary along the way so if it's your first visit you can get an idea where things are. Of course we travel during week so we are generally not dealing with a crowd when dropped off at the resort. Price wise, for us, it works out the same as a taxi. Prices for Depalm are $20 per person but that is round trip so it ends up being $20 for the trip each way basically the same as a taxi. If there were more of us or I was staying in the High rise area I would opt for the taxi simply because it would be quicker. We stay at the Divi which is generally the first or second stop.

There is DH our two boys & myself! So I am thinking taxi.

However we may rent a car for a day or 2 so if we are going to do that we will tack that to the beginning or end of our trip & save there on cab fair.

Took the bus our first trip and it was informative and gave us a perspective of what's where..... but took some time that would have been better spent on the beach. Always do the taxi now..... quicker to check in and get to the celebratory Aruba Ariba on the beach!
